The problem
Great stories from the field rarely reached donors, because writing a polished newsletter took hours the team didn't have.
What I built
- A fundraising 'spine': one database for contacts, donations, grants, campaigns and drafts. Agents can read everything, but can only ever write drafts.
- A newsletter pipeline: success stories sync from the programme database, numbers come only from an approved-statistics source, and a finished draft lands in Mailchimp for review.
The AI inside
- Claude writes each newsletter following a voice guide distilled from 22 of my real emails, plus structure rules and a quality checklist.
- Claude's vision model picks the best hero photo for each story from the photo library.
Where it stands
The newsletter agent is working and has produced real Mailchimp drafts. It is in pilot, not yet in routine use. Next on the roadmap: a grant application studio, a morning portfolio brief, and funder research.
